OSTİM Enerjik – Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster participated in the PYRAGRAF 5th Consortium Meeting, hosted by Ankara University on February 5-6, 2026.
The PYRAGRAF Project, implemented under the Horizon Europe Programme's HORIZON-CL5-2022-D3-02 call, focuses on the on-site pyrolytic conversion of agricultural and forestry waste, biochar production, and the development of local circular value chains. The project aims to disseminate innovative technologies in line with sustainable resource use and carbon reduction goals.
During the meeting, critical topics such as Turkey's biomass potential, structural bottlenecks encountered in biochar production processes, carbon capture technologies, and the integration of renewable energy in the agriculture and forestry sectors were discussed. Technical collaborations and information sharing were emphasized in the discussions, which were held with the participation of international stakeholders.
OSTİM Enerjik, a strong industrial cluster operating in the field of renewable energy and environmental technologies with over 100 member companies, continues to develop national and international collaborations in the areas of waste-to-energy, circular economy, thermochemical conversion technologies, and carbon reduction solutions.
The cluster aims to contribute to Turkey's green transformation process and increase the global competitiveness of its members through projects that strengthen university-industry collaboration.
