‘Zero-Carbon Literacy: Digital Content Development Camp and Research Project’ is a publishing/production project aimed at maximizing the benefits of digital content, creating behavioral change, and ensuring sustainability in Turkey, a signatory to the Paris Agreement and its carbon emission targets. The project, with Ankara selected as the pilot region, consists of three phases. Achieving the Zero Carbon target requires the development of literacy in this area, and this awareness must translate into behavioral change. In this context, the project possesses unique value due to its measurable content and its ability to observe the impact of this content on the target audience.

In the first phase, the level of knowledge about "zero carbon" among the target groups identified in the pilot region will be measured, and a communication/digital content production strategy will be created based on the data obtained. The research phase, supported by in-depth interview techniques, will determine the structure of the digital content based on the data obtained, and the production of this content will begin. The second phase is the production of digital content and the preparation of the digital platform/website. The process, which will be carried out by experts, academics, and representatives of civil society organizations working on zero carbon issues, together with 10 students selected from the E-Commerce and Marketing department of Ostim Technical University (OTU), will take place under the auspices of the Electricity Generation Inc. General Directorate (EÜAŞ) and the Turkish Electricity Industry Association (TESAB). The aim is to ensure the sustainability of the digital platform, which will include podcasts, videos, infographic designs, etc. The final phase is structured around the organization of a 'Creativity Camp for Zero Carbon Literacy,' where the best ideas of the future, brought together locally, will be implemented as social media campaigns through extensive teamwork.

It is anticipated that the outputs obtained at the end of the project will provide data to guide institutions/organizations that want to conduct research and run digital campaigns on climate change, carbon emissions, and the green deal in specific segments of society in the near future.
