OSTİM Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster (OSTİM ENERJİK) participated in a workshop held as part of the critical technologies study conducted by the Ankara Development Agency. OSTİM ENERJİK was represented at the workshop by Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors Pınar Yalman Akcengiz.
The workshop assessed the current state of critical technology sectors in Ankara, their capacity at the firm level, and their development needs; and addressed priority policy and intervention areas to accelerate progress in critical technologies.
The study, which included contributions from representatives of various industries, technoparks, and cluster structures, highlighted the following key issues: strengthening cluster management, developing university-industry collaborations, increasing connections with critical technology supply chains, and supporting the commercialization capacity of technology-developing firms. The study also addressed needs such as transforming technical expertise into commercial success, market access, reverse sourcing approaches, and sales-oriented mentoring.
The prepared policy and strategy proposals included topics such as developing cluster support according to the needs of critical technology areas, strengthening qualified cluster management capacity, and increasing Ankara's integration into critical technology supply chains.
Energy technologies constitute a significant component of industrial transformation in the field of critical technologies, and OSTİM ENERJİK aims to bring a sectoral perspective to this process with its network of companies and clustering experience in renewable energy and environmental technologies.
OSTİM ENERJİK continues to play an active role in efforts to increase the technology development and commercialization capacity of its member companies, strengthen their access to high value-added supply chains, and create new areas of cooperation.
