TEMSAN Türkiye Elektromekanik Sanayi A.Ş. Genel Müdürlüğü

Türkiye Elektromekanik Sanayi AŞ. (Turkish Electromechanical Industry Inc.) was established in 1975 by the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 7/10907, in line with its aim to make the maximum contribution to the national economy within the general energy policy of our country and to conduct its operations according to the principles of efficiency and profitability, and it was organized and started its operations in 1977.

With the establishment of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works in 1954, the construction of hydroelectric power plants began. As the number of these facilities increased over time, a specialized organization was needed to provide construction, equipment supply, and installation services. Having served public institutions for many years, TEMSAN added the private sector to its customer portfolio in 2001 following the publication of legislation concerning the privatization of water usage rights.

In 2013, incentives for domestic manufacturing began to be applied to energy purchases under the Renewable Energy Support Mechanism (YEKDEM). TEMSAN was not only the first company to benefit from this incentive for domestic equipment, but also the only company to benefit from it at the highest rate. Having commissioned Turkey's largest FSRU facility in 2017, TEMSAN has provided and continues to provide turnkey services for numerous projects, including 117 new units and 60 rehabilitation units in hydroelectric power plant projects, 21 new units and 36 expansions in transformer substations, and numerous rehabilitation projects in thermal power plant projects.
