Established in 2011 in METU Technopark, after splitting from the METU-MEMS Center, Mikrosens is a fabless semiconductor company that develops and sells low-cost, uncooled infrared sensor and camera systems for various infrared imaging applications in fields such as automotive, security, and consumer electronics.

Mikrosens is an electronics company that develops low-cost, patented, CMOS-based, MEMS uncooled thermal sensors and cameras, providing thermal imaging applications across a wide range of sectors from automotive and safety to machinery/equipment and consumer electronics. Unlike competitors (Ulis, FLIR, DRS, Raytheon, Mitsubishi) whose approaches involve high costs, complex processes, and the need for specialized factories for mass production, Mikrosens offers cost, ease of use, and flexibility advantages by developing microbolometers that can be manufactured in standard CMOS and MEMS factories.
